Rock Square Thunder was founded in 2020 by three experienced developers, who've met working together in Bloober Team. In 2021 we've released The Lightbringer, a 3d Platformer, on Nintendo Switch and PC. Along the way we were joined by talented team members, growing to 16.

We are very proud of our team and our company culture of respect, creativity and cooperation.

Tabletop Generals: Tactics is a turn-based strategy game that combines the classic gameplay of Advance Wars with a modern twist. Team

Rock Square Thunder is an indie game developer based in Cracow, Poland. Founded in 2020 by a team of passionate gamers who happen to be also quite good at making those games. Rock Square Thunder aims to create innovative and immersive games that challenge the boundaries of genres and platforms. Our founders are veterans of the industry with many years of experience in video game production.

Janusz Tarczykowski

CEO & Game Director

Started professionally as a programmer in Bloober Team in 2014. Since then has worked as a Lead Programmer, Lead Designer & Game Director in companies like Simteract, Pixotope, Titan Gamez & more. Has grown up playing video games & chess, making first games at age 12 and being in love with games & programming ever since. After hours loves playing MTG, chess & indie games.

Łukasz Kudziela

Board Member & Lead 3d

Started as a 3D Artist in Drago Entertainment in 2011 working on Grimlands. After that has moved to Bloober Team, and stayed there for many years, making games like The Medium, Blair Witch, Layers of Fear 1&2 and BRAWL. Apart from 3D art he's a passionate indie developer, that has learnt all aspects of game development and has made countless amazing prototypes. He loves retro games, especially Nintendo and PS1 games.

Artur Wiecheć

Board Member & Lead Level Designer

Started in 2012 in Drago Entertainment as Level Designer. After that has moved to Bloober Team and stayed there for many years as an LD and Lead LD, making games like The Medium, Blair Witch, Observer, Layers of Fear 1&2 and BRAWL. Big lover of Nintendo games and tactical games. After work you can usually spot him riding a bike, snowboarding or playing Nintendo 3ds.

Ewa Ciałowicz is the Art Director who makes sure every pixel is perfect and every color is harmonious. She has a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautiful worlds.

Arek Kliś is our Programmer who oversees the technical aspects of the game development. He is a master of coding and debugging, and he loves solving complex problems.

Michał Bogusławski is a Programmer who works closely with Arek to implement the game features and mechanics. He is a fast learner and a versatile coder, and he enjoys experimenting with new technologies.

Natalia Cieśla is a 3D Artist who creates models, textures and materials for the game characters and environments. She has a talent for bringing life and personality to her creations, and she strives to make them beautiful, functional and immersive.

Zuza Michej is a Game Designer who designs the gameplay, story and various systems for the game. She has a creative mind and a knack for storytelling, and she likes to craft engaging and memorable experiences for the players.

Marcin Król as Lead Programmer he is responsible for technical aspects of our projects. He built up his game development experience working on diverse game genres. Personally avid gamer.

Krzysztof Nowicki is a Game Designer who creates game systems while resisting the urge to turn everything into an excel sheet. Started in Titan Gamez in 2021. He views gameplay as the most important aspect, which explains his love for tactical, strategy and multiplayer games.

Jarek Krawczyszyn with a passion for crafting engaging mobile games, Jarek brings over four years of programming expertise to our dynamic team. Specializing in UI and implementing mechanics, he has quickly become an important part of the team.

Ryszard Lembas is an animator and VFX artist and is responsible for organizing the work of 3D artists as a lead. Previously, he worked from start to finish on the production of many games for Switch, mobile and PC as a 3D Artist, character artist, VFX artist and animator, learning all aspects of industry production, working for companies like Everydayiplay, 7Levels and Titan Gamez. Dies alot in Soulslike games.

Paweł Walkowiak started as a 3D cutscene animator in 2009 for the PSP game: Duken Nuken Critical Mass. Then as gameplay animator for games such as: "Gun Soke" (Nintendo WII), "Arena Morte". Animations for strategy and tactical games: "Hard West", "Phantom Doctrine", "Expeditions: Rome", "Realpolitiks II", "Punk Wars", "FLASHOUT 3", "Dark Moon".

Rock Square Thunder sp. z o.o. is implementing a research and development project entitled “Development of an innovative system for building extensive and complex open world video game” co-financed under the implementation of the Bridge Alfa Grant Project, Measure 1.3.1 of the Operational Program Intelligent Development 2014 - 2020 co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The main objective of the project is to develop a system that enables the creation of extensive and complex worlds.
